Halbert Accountancy is based in North Cardiff but has clients from all over South Wales.
Sara Halbert is the founder of Halbert Accountancy. She graduated from Cardiff University with a BSc Accounting in 2001 and trained to be a fully qualified CIMA accountant by 2004. Sara chose the accounting body of CIMA as it not only looked at standard accounting issues but it specialises in helping businesses understand their accounts and how this information can be used to support strategic decisions.
Since 1999 Sara has worked in an accountancy practice, as an Analyst, Senior Auditor and as part of a risk management consultancy firm.
Recently Sara applied to CIMA to become a recognised Member in Practice (MiP). Within this process, CIMA completed a detailed review of Sara’s experience acquired to date, in order to allow her to be a MiP. Sara gained this very swiftly, due to her vast experience and knowledge.
Within the past few years, Sara has gained an adult teaching qualification, which helps her explain annual accounts in a jargon free way, to her clients. Being a qualified teacher, Sara is also able to support businesses who want to complete more of the accounting themselves or require some training in understanding their accounts.
Sara has enjoyed her 17 years in accounting becasue she ‘loves helping people build their businesses and ensuring their numbers don’t let them down’.
